Riverbloom Farms Shipping Policy
Mission Statement To support our mission of affordability, we charge a $10 flat shipping rate that covers postage, materials, and insurance—nothing more. Our shipping rate is not marked up, helping to make dahlias affordable to all.
Before shipping, each tuber is carefully inspected and sent with at least one verified viable eye, so you can feel confident you’re receiving healthy, viable planting stock.
Shipping Rate - Flat-rate shipping: $10 per box (up to 10 dahlia tubers). Orders with more than 10 tubers will ship in additional boxes, each at the same flat-rate. Our shipping rate reflects our actual cost and is not marked up, helping to keep dahlias affordable and accessible to all gardeners.
Shipping Method - Tubers ship via USPS Ground Advantage Cubic, packed with vermiculite and cushioning materials. - Delivery typically occurs within 2–5 business days.
Insurance Included - All shipments are insured at full order value at no extra cost. - Insurance protects tubers in case of loss or damage during transit.
Shipping Timing - West Coast orders: shipped the first week of March to arrive dormant and ready to plant. - Other regions: shipped at the same time, with instructions for safe storage until soil is ready. Orders are not shipped on weekends to prevent delays.
If Tubers Arrive Before Planting Time
1. Keep tubers in the original box with vermiculite.
2. Store in a cool, dry, dark place (50–60°F / 10–15°C).
3. Avoid moisture — do not water while dormant.
4. Plant only when soil is workable and frost-free.
Lost or Damaged Packages - Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the package and contents. We will assist with insurance claims to resolve any issues.

Growing Conditions & Viability
All tubers are carefully inspected prior to shipping and are sent with at least one verified viable eye at the time they leave our farm.
Because tubers are living products, their growth and performance depend on many factors beyond our control, including weather, soil conditions, planting timing, storage, and care after delivery.
For this reason, we are unable to offer refunds or replacements based on:

Damage caused by improper storage, delayed planting, or extreme weather after delivery is not eligible for replacement.
Shipping Timing & Responsibility
Our tubers are shipped during a planned spring shipping window. Once an order leaves our farm, shipping is handled by the carrier. While we pack carefully, we cannot be responsible for carrier delays or handling once in transit.
